It's Nearly Time

I've been slowly but surely churning out a weekly devotional that I hope will be an enjoyable supplement to a Bible Quiz team's weekly meeting, or will be enjoyed in a daycare or school, or will be a tool for parents with their children. I will begin posting the devotionals on the 1st Monday of 2015.

My "babies" are old now and writing these devotionals have made me feel just as purposeful & excited as I was when I was a young mommy investing the seed of God's Word into my kids' fertile heart. I loved sharing The Bread of Life with them then, and it's awe-inspiring now to see what lovely, strong, fruit-bearing trees they've become.

Disclaimer:
Perhaps I'll be able to get one of my fruit-bearing trees to do some editing for me for these devotionals, as my grammar & editing are atrocious. Or I may be able to beg some editing favors from friends. But I've decided to get the ideas available, even in their raw form. Or else the deed might not be done at all. And that would be a waste.

Thanks for enjoying God's Word with me. Thanks for allowing me to enter the sacred garden of your children's spirit. I shall ever be aware of the value and honor to be there.

Welcome!

Hi! I'm Denée Richardson, the writer & singer for the songs people use to memorize large portions of scripture.

In a few weeks you will find here devotionals directly connected to the United Pentecostal Church's Bible Quiz material. This year (2014-2015) that happens to be from the book of Proverbs. (Thus "Wise Guy's Devo.") It is my goal to provide enough devotionals for use once a week during the Bible Quiz season. Perhaps these will be beneficial to your church's weekly quiz practice. But as it IS the Bible, anyone of any age group may benefit from the devotionals, whether you're involved in the quiz program, or not.

Please share this blog on your social networking sites, with your youth's & children's pastors, with other families.

The devotional will use one verse from the Bible Quiz Material, include the music link to that one verse/song, in simple terms provide guidance in applying the verse to daily living, include discussion questions, and end with a prayer committing to apply that verse to our lifestyle.

I ask for your prayers that God will inspire and guide me through this endeavor.

I am not an official representative of the UPCI, nor their Bible Quiz program. I'm simply a person who quizzed (rather poorly, actually) am a mom of quizzers, & as the provider of the songs to assist in memorization I have found a lot of joy in being involved with the program. Not to mention, I'm passionately in love with scripture and am going to write and talk about it anyway. I hope these benefit.
